Terms of Service
1. Who can use Rowlink
Rowlink is open to rowers, coaches, and rowing clubs. Athletes under 16 need consent from a parent or guardian, who may also manage the account. Coaches and clubs must represent a real program and may be asked to verify their affiliation.
2. Your account and profile
You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile and the security of your credentials. Impersonating another athlete, coach, or program is grounds for immediate removal.
3. Verified data
Erg scores marked as verified were confirmed on video by a club coach through Rowlink's verification flow. Submitting falsified test footage, or verifying scores you did not witness, is a serious violation and results in permanent removal of the verifying coach and the athlete's verified status.
4. Recruiting communication
Messaging between college coaches and athletes must comply with the recruiting rules that apply to the coach's program (e.g., NCAA contact periods and recruit age rules). Rowlink provides tooling to support compliance, but responsibility for compliance rests with the coach and their institution.
5. Content and licenses
You keep ownership of the content you upload — race film, erg videos, photos, and profile text. You grant Rowlink a non-exclusive license to host and display that content to the audiences you choose in your privacy settings. You must own or have permission for everything you upload.
6. Acceptable use
- No scraping, bulk export, or resale of athlete data.
- No harassment, discrimination, or contact outside the platform's recruiting rules.
- No false claims of club affiliation, coaching credentials, or race results.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time; your profile and data are removed as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
8. Disclaimers and liability
Rowlink is a networking and recruiting platform; we do not guarantee recruitment, scholarships, or admission outcomes. The service is provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law.
