Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Profile data — name, country, club history, side and seat, height/weight, class year, erg scores, race results, video.
- Recruiting data — recruiting status, target divisions, eligibility details (e.g., TOEFL, SAT, F-1 status) that you choose to add.
- Usage data — profile views, searches, and messaging metadata used to run and improve the service.
Who sees your data
You control visibility. By default, your full recruiting profile is visible to verified college coaches only when you set yourself as "open to recruiting". Club, name, and public results are visible to signed-in members. Nothing is sold to advertisers or data brokers — ever.
Minors
Most Rowlink athletes are under 18. Accounts for athletes under 16 require parent or guardian consent, and guardians can review or delete the athlete's data at any time. Coach-to-athlete messaging is logged and auditable, and coaches only see athletes who have opted into recruiting visibility.
Verification videos
Erg verification footage is visible to the verifying coach and to recruiters you have made your profile visible to. You can remove footage at any time; the associated score then loses its verified badge.
Your rights
- Export your data at any time from account settings.
- Correct or delete any profile field.
- Delete your account — profile, scores, and video are removed within 30 days.
- EU/UK users: GDPR rights apply, including access, rectification, and erasure. US users: applicable state privacy laws apply.
Data security & retention
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Messaging records are retained while your account is active for recruiting-compliance purposes. Backups are purged on a rolling 30-day cycle after deletion.
